BEFORE YOU DO ANYTHING, sign up for Adobe Illustrator or Creative Cloud.
What's the difference? Creative Cloud will give you access to all of Adobe's programs, including Photoshop, Lightroom, Premiere Pro, and one that printable designers need...Adobe Acrobat DC. You can totally sign up for Illustrator only and decide to upgrade later if you need to.
From my experience, I couldn't survive with Illustrator alone (even though it's my FAVORITE).
One other thing you may want to do is download some fonts. The font I use in Module 3 is called Montserrat and you can download it a Google.com/fonts.
Illustrator also comes with licensed fonts that you are for commercial use! No need to purchase any of these, they are included in your Cloud Subscription.
This course was created so that each video is fairly short and easy to watch - that way you shouldn't get bored OR overwhelmed.
There are a couple that are a little longer, when it didn't make sense to break up, but for the most part, I want you to take this one step at a time.
Designing is a process and it might take some practice for you to feel like you've mastered it.
As you're watching these videos, it may help to have the class on one screen and work on Illustrator on another. And if you feel like things are moving a little fast, pause the screen until you feel like you have the hang of the task, then return to the tutorial.
Below, you'll find the Adobe Illustrator Workbook in zip files. This is probably the best way to make sure you can open up these files in Illustrator. Make sure you have the LATEST AI program to be able to open these.
